Regional Mini-Grants
From January 2009 to June 2009, the HHS Office on Women’s Health (OWH) executed a mini-grant program that empowered 48 local organizations across all of the OWH Regions to raise awareness about women and heart disease and to promote The Heart Truth® education program. Grantees conducted activities in their communities such as heart health walks, heart health fairs, and heart health workshops. These grantees reached more than 30,000 men and women with The Heart Truth messages.
