This project will determine the health impact of parenthood on people with cystic fibrosis (CF). The study team will use retrospective data to provide relatively immediate evidence on parenthood's effect on pulmonary health.

Are you an adult with atrial fibrillation? In this study, researchers are comparing a continuous direct oral anticoagulation (DOAC) use versus time-limited (1 month) DOAC guided by an AF-sensing Smart Watch (AFSW) for persons with atrial fibrillation and a moderate risk of stroke. Participants must be between the ages of 22 and 85 and have a history of atrial fibrillation. The study is taking place at locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C.

Are you an adult with diagnosed atherosclerosis? If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical trial where researchers are trying to learn if a statin, which is used to treat atherosclerosis by lowering cholesterol works better when it is combined with another medication, colchicine, by targeting inflammation. Participants must be between 40 and 75 years old and be at risk of developing coronary artery disease. The study is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Are you at least 18 years old and have scheduled elective valve surgery? You may be able to participate in a study where researchers are investigating whether a type of gene therapy can help prevent a form of atrial fibrillation that occurs after surgery. Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. You must be 60 years old to participate. The investigators' central hypothesis is that early combination therapy with two PAH-specific oral therapies that have been shown to be well tolerated in the pediatric population, sildenafil and bosentan, will result in better World Health Organization (WHO) functional class at 12 months after initiation of PAH treatment than therapy with sildenafil alone.

This study is a two-part, prospective non-controlled, non-randomized Phase I/II clinical trial to assess the safety, feasibility and efficacy of cellular gene therapy in patients with chronic granulomatous disease using transplantation of autologous bone marrow CD34+ cells transduced ex vivo by the G1XCGD lentiviral vector containing the human CGD gene.

Do you or one of your children have a congenital heart defect? This study will find both common genetic causes of congenital heart disease and ways that genes influence results of medical treatment. To participate in this study, you or your child must have congenital heart disease. Are you a greater Boston resident aged 24 to 30? This study aims to bridge the gap in knowledge between known executive function deficits in childhood congenital heart disease and adult well-being. The study is Recruitinghealthy volunteers. To participate in this study, you must be between the ages of 24 and 30, live in the greater Boston area, read fluently in English, and not have metal implants, a pacemaker, or orthodontia that would prevent MRI. This study is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Do you know someone who will be having heart surgery? This study aims to identify what genetic patterns might cause atrial fibrillation and other adverse events that happen after heart surgery. To participate in this study, you must be between 20 and 90 years old. The study is in three locations in Massachusetts and Texas.
