Do you have both type II diabetes and obesity? Researchers are studying how exercise and weight-loss affect body fat tissues and cells in the body. Participants must be 18 to 50 years old and be able to do moderately intense physical activity. The study is taking place in Chicago, Illinois.

Does your child have overweight or obesity? This study is exploring the link between obesity and sleep deprivation in children. Researchers will test whether participants who do not get enough good quality sleep have trouble making healthy food choices. Are you between 18 and 50 and have obesity? This study is examining whether obesity causes chemical changes to DNA that affect the amounts of certain proteins that your body makes. These changes in protein levels may raise the risk of heart and blood vessel diseases in people who have obesity. The study will test whether regular physical activity and weight loss surgery can help reverse these changes to DNA. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

Does your child have overweight or obesity or just want to be in a study on sleep and eating habits? Overweight and obesity are common in children who do not get enough good quality sleep. This study aims to understand how sleep deficiency can affect a child’s ability to make good food choices. Researchers will ask participants to spend either 8 or 11 hours in bed and to keep track of their food choices. Participants in this study must be 8 to 12 years old. This study takes place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Providence, Rhode Island.

This study will leverage state-of-the-art, 24-hour behavior assessment in each trimester of pregnancy and examine associations with adverse pregnancy outcomes to inform guidelines and future interventions designed to improve women's pregnancy and long-term cardiovascular health.

The overall goal of the study is to develop a novel weight loss intervention for postpartum people by providing strategies to improve sleep, diet, and physical activity behaviors. In this study, we will recruitment and enroll 40 postpartum people and randomize them to receive the Sleep GOALS intervention or education control to evaluate the intervention's feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy.

Are you an adult with a diagnosed sleep phase disorder? This study aims to assess the sleep patterns and quality of sleep in people who have sleep phase disorders to determine how the disorders affect their circadian rhythms. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have a sleep phase disorder, such as advanced sleep-wake phase syndrome or delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome. This study is located in Chicago, Illinois.
