Do you or your child have a lung disease? This study will investigate the genes involved in the breathing process and in the development of lung diseases such as asthma or sarcoidosis to improve understanding of the role they play. This study aims to discover if low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans are as effective as regular CT scans in monitoring your COPD. Do you have heart disease? This study is looking to improve the quality of heart CT scans by using new methods to create the images. You may be able to participate in the study if you are 18 years old or older, have heart disease, and have been told by your doctor that you need a CT scan. Are you 75 years old or older and interested in participating in a clinical trial where researchers are studying whether statins, which are often used to treat high cholesterol, can help improve heart and brain health. To participate, you cannot have cardiovascular disease or dementia. Have you had a baby within the past month? If so, you may be able to participate in this clinical trial where researchers are testing out a home visitation program for women who have recently given birth. Participants in the study will be visited by trained nurses who will help with soothing, feeding, sleep, and physical activity.
