Are you a healthy adult who wants to join a study about less sitting? You might qualify for this research. Researchers are testing if walking breaks can improve cardiovascular health, like blood pressure and glucose (sugar) levels. To join, you must be 18 years old and have no long-term health issues or not be taking medications for blood pressure or diabetes. Participants will have to go to the study site for a 9-hour visit and walk on a treadmill during the day. The study is taking place in New York City, New York.

The Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has been designed to administer therapeutic agents in the peripheral vasculature. Because of the unique design of the catheter, with its six expandable infusion limbs, the Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has the ability to: 1. Create a much larger central channel for blood flow, thereby utilizing the body's own endogenous fibrinolytic agents to lyse the clot, and 2. Greatly enhance the radial dispersion of a catheter-administered thrombolytic agent throughout the thrombus. Expansion of the multiple arms of the basket in the infusion catheter causes fissuring of the clot. The net result is that a greater surface area of clot is exposed to both endogenous and exogenously administered lytic agents, thereby promoting clot dissolution.

Do you have high blood pressure? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying different ways to improve home blood pressure monitoring. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 85 years old and diagnosed with high blood pressure. Participants will work closely with clinicians or other healthcare providers to schedule appointments, coordinate care, measure blood pressure, answer your questions, and treat your high blood pressure. The study is taking place in Rochester, New York.

Do you have heart failure? In this clinical trial, researchers are using images of the heart and blood tests to learn more about Black and Hispanic patients with heart failure. You may be able to participate if you are at least 60 years old; of Black, Hispanic, or Caribbean origin; and have been diagnosed with heart failure. The study is taking place in locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.

This study is trying to improve the hospital-to-home transition for people with heart failure who receive home care services. The study will test an intervention called I-TRANSFER-HF, which differs from usual care by combining early home health nurse visits and outpatient medical appointments.

Do you have overweight? Circadian rhythm disorders can cause overweight and obesity. This study is examining how not getting enough sleep causes these complications. To participate in this study, you must be between the ages of 20 and 40 and have overweight but not obesity. This study is located in New York, New York.

Do you or your child have a platelet, bleeding, or white blood cell disorder? This study is looking at people who have platelet or other blood disorders. The researchers will use a blood sample to look for problems with platelets and a possible genetic cause in the participant’s DNA or RNA. To participate in this study, you must be a child or adult who either is healthy or has a platelet disorder, coagulation disorder, or white blood cell disorder. Do you want to get better at taking your blood pressure medicine? This study will test a program aimed at helping motivate people to take their blood pressure medicine. Each day, participants who took their medicine will be eligible to win a prize through a smartphone app that tracks whether they are taking their medicine. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have an active prescription for high blood pressure medication. This study is located in New York, New York.

Do you want to help find new treatments for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction? This study is testing whether a medicine called spironolactone can help treat heart failure with preserved ejection fraction when paired with the standard treatment. Spironolactone helps to remove excess water and sodium from the body. To participate in this study, you must be between 50 and 99 years old and diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

Are you a professional caregiver for an adult who has serious heart failure? This study is testing whether electronic educational resources, in addition to in-person training , help home aids be more knowledgeable and confident in caring for adults who have serious heart failure. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 75 years old, be employed at Visiting Nurse Service of New York's Partners in Care agency, and care for an adult who has heart failure.
