Does your child have asthma that is not well controlled? This study will evaluate different ways to treat asthma for children is certain communities. Your child may be able to participate if they are between 5 and 12 and if you live in certain areas of Colorado where the study is taking place.

Do you have asthma and obesity and live near Aurora, Colorado? Obesity can lead to widespread inflammation that may make asthma worse. This study will test whether a medicine called CXA-10 reduces inflammation in the airways and body and improves asthma symptoms in people who have obesity. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 65 years old, have a BMI of 30 or greater, and have been on long-acting controller medicine—such as inhaled corticosteroids or long-acting beta2-agonists—for at least three months. This study is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Are you a woman with coronary microvascular dysfunction? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying coronary microvascular dysfunction, which occurs when there are problems in the small blood vessels in the heart. It frequently causes chest pain and is more common in women. The researchers want to learn how daily life and mental stress affect the heart. You may be able to participate if you are at least 45 years old, have gone through menopause, and are willing to undergo tests to measure your stress level. Do you have heart disease? This study is looking to improve the quality of heart CT scans by using new methods to create the images. You may be able to participate in the study if you are 18 years old or older, have heart disease, and have been told by your doctor that you need a CT scan. This study is taking place at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you 75 years old or older and interested in participating in a clinical trial where researchers are studying whether statins, which are often used to treat high cholesterol, can help improve heart and brain health. To participate, you cannot have cardiovascular disease or dementia. Have you recently been released from state prison into the Denver/Aurora Colorado metro area? For this study, researchers are studying how people released from prison access healthcare services. The researchers will also see how many participants are hospitalized for heart issues. Study participants must be 18 years old, have recently been released from prison, and have no plans to leave the area within the next 6 months. The study is taking place in Aurora, Colorado.

Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. You must be 60 years old to participate.
