This registry seeks to collect information from patients who have Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA), in order to help researchers and doctors learn more about the condition. The registry will also help connect patients with DBA to research and clinical studies, and possible treatment options. The registry accepts all patients diagnosed with DBA.

Are you scheduled for a stem cell transplant with cord blood? This study will assess the safety and effectiveness of certain cord blood transplants. The study will help researchers learn the best methods for collecting, storing, and using cord blood in transplants. To participate in this study, you must have a disorder that compromises your body’s ability to make blood cells. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Is your family from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka? If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical study looking at cardiovascular disease, such as heart disease and stroke among people of South Asian descent. Participants must be between 40 and 84 years old and have no history of heart attack or stroke, heart failure, angina, or atrial fibrillation. Women who experience hot flashes are at greater risk for hypertension and other cardiovascular disease. In this clinical trial, researchers are studying the link between hot flashes and cardiovascular disease in women. Have you had a heart attack caused by spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD)? Most patients with SCAD do not have traditional risk factors such as tobacco use, high cholesterol, diabetes, but rather, they the heart attack is caused by other problems with the heart. In this clinical trial, researchers are studying people who have had SCAD to understand what may cause this to happen. The study is taking place in Rochester, Minnesota.

Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. This study aims to find out whether an online tool can help improve symptoms of depression in people who have coronary heart disease and encourage them to start treatment for depression.
