The Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has been designed to administer therapeutic agents in the peripheral vasculature. Because of the unique design of the catheter, with its six expandable infusion limbs, the Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has the ability to: 1. Create a much larger central channel for blood flow, thereby utilizing the body's own endogenous fibrinolytic agents to lyse the clot, and 2. Greatly enhance the radial dispersion of a catheter-administered thrombolytic agent throughout the thrombus. Expansion of the multiple arms of the basket in the infusion catheter causes fissuring of the clot. The net result is that a greater surface area of clot is exposed to both endogenous and exogenously administered lytic agents, thereby promoting clot dissolution.

Do you or your child have a platelet, bleeding, or white blood cell disorder? This study is looking at people who have platelet or other blood disorders. The researchers will use a blood sample to look for problems with platelets and a possible genetic cause in the participant’s DNA or RNA. To participate in this study, you must be a child or adult who either is healthy or has a platelet disorder, coagulation disorder, or white blood cell disorder. The primary hypothesis is that those with high sleep reactivity will show persistent SWD symptoms after experimental reduction of circadian misalignment, which will then be mitigated with CBT.

Do you get less than 7 hours of sleep each day and take medicine for opioid use disorder (OUD)? This study is looking at how the brain systems that control sleep can affect medication-assisted treatment in people who have opioid use disorder. The study will test whether suvorexant can help improve sleep and reduce stress without interfering with treatments for OUD. To participate in this study, you must be 21 to 65 years old. This study takes place at various locations in Baltimore, Bel Air, and Elkton, Maryland.

Do you have mild sleep apnea, or do you just want to help research? This study aims to understand how mild sleep apnea and not getting enough sleep contribute to daytime sleepiness. The study will also test which of three different treatment programs is most effective at preventing daytime sleepiness. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study will test whether a new device called the OsciPulse system, which is designed to repeatedly compress a person’s legs, can improve blood flow through the legs to prevent or treat varicose veins.
