Are you a 30- to 55-year-old smoker or non-smoker who would like to support better understanding of COPD risk factors? This study aims to find early signs of COPD in adults who have a high risk of this condition. Researchers will compare results from questionnaires, lung tests, and other tests in people who smoke and in people who do not smoke to look for factors that predict which people will develop COPD. To participate in this study, you must either currently smoke or have no history of smoking. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Are you a woman 18 years old or older who has been diagnosed with LAM? This study is examining whether long-term treatment with medicine called sirolimus can stop lung damage in women who have LAM. This study takes place at multiple locations in the United States.

Do you or your child have symptoms of a serious lung disease but no diagnosis? This study aims to develop new ways to diagnose primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) and primary immune deficiency (PID), two conditions that can have similar symptoms. Researchers will combine information from genetic testing, lung imaging, and lung function tests to diagnose ant tell the difference between these two conditions. Participants in this study must be 5 to 45 years old. This study is taking place at multiple locations in the United States and in Canada.

Do you take opioids for pain relief? You may have a higher risk of sleep disordered breathing. This study is testing whether positive airway pressure (PAP) can help treat sleep disordered breathing in individuals using opioids. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and either healthy or taking opioids to treat long-term pain. This study takes place in San Diego, California.

The overall goal is to assess the potential of the radiotracer to track inflammatory cells in lung diseases.

Are you interested in participating in clinical research about ultrasounds? Ultrasounds are one of the most common ways to take images of the inside of your body. In some cases, something called a contrast agent is injected through an IV to make your organs even more visible during the ultrasound. Researchers in this clinical trial are comparing a new type of contrast agent to the current type used in ultrasounds. Participants must be 19 years old and considered to be generally healthy. Do you or your child have Williams Syndrome (WS) or supravalvular aortic stenosis (SVAS) or are you interested in helping research on these conditions? The blood vessels in people with WS or SVAS have less elasticity, which can cause them to narrow. This study aims to see how blood vessel differences in people with these conditions affect organs in the body including the heart, gut, kidneys, and brain. Do you or your child have Williams-Beuren syndrome (WS) or Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis (SVAS)? Symptoms of both conditions include vascular problems that can be mild or serious. Researchers want to find out why only some people with WS and SVAS have serious symptoms while others do not. Participants in this study will provide blood or saliva samples to help researchers see what DNA or environmental changes affect the severity of the disease. This study is located at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Do you or your child have primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) or primary immune deficiency (PID)? This study aims to identify genes that cause these two conditions, which can have similar symptoms. The results from this study will help researchers find new ways to treat breathing and hearing problems caused by these two conditions in a cross-sectional cohort of patients with PCD and PID. Participants in this study must be 5 to 45 years old. This study is taking place at multiple locations in the United States and in Canada.
