Does your child have asthma? If so, they may be eligible to participate in a study about whether using a smartphone application can improve asthma management. To participate, your child must be between the age of 12 and 18 and have an iPhone or Android device on which an app can be installed. The study is taking place at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and participants are expected to remain in the Tampa Bay area for the duration of the study.

Does your child have asthma that is not well controlled? This study will evaluate different ways to treat asthma for children is certain communities. Your child may be able to participate if they are between 5 and 12 and if you live in certain areas of Colorado where the study is taking place.

Does your child have asthma? Researchers in this study are looking at whether a school-based program that seeks to increase assess to physical activity helps reduces asthma. This study will investigate the genes involved in the breathing process and in the development of lung diseases such as asthma or sarcoidosis to improve understanding of the role they play. The goal of this clinical trial is to compare different types of blood transfusions for critically injured patients who require large-volume blood transfusions. Participants must be at least 15 years old and need a massive blood transfusion. The study is taking place in locations in Alabama, California, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Do you or your child have a platelet, bleeding, or white blood cell disorder?
This study is looking at people who have platelet or other blood disorders. The researchers will use a blood sample to look for problems with platelets and a possible genetic cause in the participant’s DNA or RNA. To participate in this study, you must be a child or adult who either is healthy or has a platelet disorder, coagulation disorder, or white blood cell disorder.
