Sharing Advice From The Heart
Every year, The Heart Truth® and its supporters raise awareness about heart disease in women and encourage them to take action and improve their heart health. This year, the program continues to motivate women to take action through personal and aspirational messages that are relevant to the daily challenges women face when trying to live heart healthy.
Join us on National Wear Red Day®, February 5, 2016, and throughout the month to raise your voice in support of heart disease awareness and prevention, in efforts to help women learn their risk for heart disease. Show your support by wearing something red—a red dress, sweater or scarf—and encourage your neighbors, coworkers, friends and loved ones to do the same. Use this toolkit to invite others to wear red with you. The toolkit also includes materials―a poster, flyer, pre-drafted content for social media platforms, and Web banners―that will help you plan an event in your community to talk about heart disease in women this February.
Throughout American Heart Month, The Heart Truth will inspire women to care for their hearts and make lifestyle changes, while at the same time offering advice From the Heart. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and share our advice and gifts From the Heart. Whether the gift #FromtheHeart is a heart healthy meal for two, a funny movie marathon to de-stress, or dedicated time to set aside for a heart-to-heart conversation—these gifts offer an opportunity to pause and invite someone you love to do something heart healthy.
