Project Requests

The IPDC supports NIH intramural researchers and their collaborators.  This support of intramural researchers and their collaborators may include a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). IPDC also provides services to other government agencies through intra-agency agreements

We prefer to meet with our collaborators to discuss the required services. To request a meeting to discuss a potential proposal request, please contact Dr. Rolf Swenson.

Your service(s) requested may be of the following:

  1. Compound Synthesis, if yes, the number of compounds and the quantity of material requested
  2. Purification of antibody or protein
  3. Radiolabeling
  4. Assay development or screening
  5. Pharmacokinetic or stability evaluation

Any type of composition may be considered, from small molecules to proteins to diverse nano-materials, as well as any type of reporter, from fluorescent to MRI, PET and SPECT radiolabels (non-GMP material only).

Proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis and should contain the following elements:

  1. Principal Investigator Name(s) and Institutes(s)
  2. Background and Significance
  3. Chemistry, including literature references to the desired preparation(s)
  4. Purpose to which the probe(s) will be used
  5. Approval of the Scientific Director(s) of the Institute(s) scientist(s) who made the submission

Proposals should not be more than 2-5 pages in length, and will be selected for adoption after discussion and approval by the IPDC steering committee, which meets bi-monthly.  The committee will judge submitted proposals weighing in order of importance:  overall feasibility, scientific significance, lack of alternative suppliers, the potential for broad utility, and cost.
