Researchers are testing whether a dietary supplement can improve heart function for people with advanced heart failure. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and be scheduled for elective LVAD implantation. The study is taking place in Seattle, Washington.

Are you an adult female with LAM? If so, you may be able to participate in this clinical study where researchers are observing patients who are taking or have taken a certain kind of medication, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), to treat lymphangioleiomyomatosis, also known as LAM. You must be at least 18 years old to take part. The study is taking place at locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

This trial will compare time from randomization to failure of treatment or death from any cause of IST versus URD BMT when used as initial therapy to treat Severe Aplastic Anemia.

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare different types of blood transfusions for critically injured patients who require large-volume blood transfusions. Are you at least 18 years old and have been told by your doctor that you need a procedure called transcatheter aortic valve replacement? This study will test a new device designed specifically for use during a procedure called transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Researchers want to make transcatheter aortic valve replacement safer. To be in the study, you must be at least 18 and need a transcatheter aortic valve replacement. The study will take place in locations in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C.

This project will determine the health impact of parenthood on people with cystic fibrosis (CF). The study team will use retrospective data to provide relatively immediate evidence on parenthood's effect on pulmonary health.

Are you an adult with atrial fibrillation? In this study, researchers are comparing a continuous direct oral anticoagulation (DOAC) use versus time-limited (1 month) DOAC guided by an AF-sensing Smart Watch (AFSW) for persons with atrial fibrillation and a moderate risk of stroke. Participants must be between the ages of 22 and 85 and have a history of atrial fibrillation. The study is taking place at locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C.

The investigators' central hypothesis is that early combination therapy with two PAH-specific oral therapies that have been shown to be well tolerated in the pediatric population, sildenafil and bosentan, will result in better World Health Organization (WHO) functional class at 12 months after initiation of PAH treatment than therapy with sildenafil alone.

Do you have symptoms of a lung disease (such as long-term wet cough, bronchiectasis, or recurrent pneumonia) with no genetic diagnosis? This study aims to develop new ways to diagnose primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) or primary immune deficiency (PID), two conditions that can have similar symptoms. Researchers will combine information from genetic testing, lung imaging, and lung function tests to diagnose and tell the difference between these two conditions. Participants in this study must be 5 to 45 years old and must have symptoms of a serious lung disease but no diagnosis. This study is taking place at multiple locations in the United States and in Canada, including the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you an adult with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and currently taking vasodilators? This study is testing the efficacy of a new medicine called famotidine for people with PAH. Participants in this study must be between 18 and 80 years old and willing to take famotidine or a placebo for 6 months. This study takes place in Seattle, Washington.
