Are you an adult female with LAM? If so, you may be able to participate in this clinical study where researchers are observing patients who are taking or have taken a certain kind of medication, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), to treat lymphangioleiomyomatosis, also known as LAM. You must be at least 18 years old to take part. The study is taking place at locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

Is your child 10 to 14 years old? If so, they may be able to join a study where researchers are looking at a way to help kids eat healthier and move more. Participants will go to after-school events and meetings and learn about healthy eating and physical activity. To join, children will need one parent or guardian who can help and do study tasks. The study is taking place in Ann Arbor and East Lancing, Michigan.

Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. You must be 60 years old to participate. The study is enrolling patients in locations in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Quebec City, Canada.

Have you or your child been diagnosed with a blood disorder? If so, you (or they) may be able to participate in a clinical study where researchers are studying a type of infusion using cord blood. Participants can be of any age but must have a blood disorder diagnosed by their doctor. Did you develop atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery? Did you develop atrial fibrillation after a coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery? This study is looking at how well oral anticoagulation medicines work to prevent complications, such as blood clots and heart attack, for patients who experience post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF). This study is in multiple locations around the country.

Are you an adult who has PAD and overweight or obesity? This study aims to learn whether participating in an exercise program with a weight loss program reduces PAD signs and symptoms more than an exercise program alone. To participate, you must be between 18 and 85 years old, have PAD, and have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 28 but less than 45. Participants must also be willing to use a smartphone and attend weekly study sessions. This study is located in Evanston, Illinois; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Do you want to help find new treatments for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction? This study is testing whether a medicine called spironolactone can help treat heart failure with preserved ejection fraction when paired with the standard treatment. Spironolactone helps to remove excess water and sodium from the body. To participate in this study, you must be between 50 and 99 years old and diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

Do you have heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFPEF)? This study is testing the efficacy of a diuretic medicine called spironolactone that stops your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from dropping too low. Participants of this study must be between 50 and 99 years old and already taking diuretic medicine. This study takes place in multiple locations across the United States and Sweden.

Are you 65 years old or older, and do you have severe primary mitral regurgitation? This condition — also called degenerative mitral regurgitation — happens when there is a problem with the mitral valve itself or its supporting tissue, leading to a leaky valve. This study is comparing the safety and effectiveness of two different ways of repairing the mitral valve: transcatheter edge-to-edge repair and surgical repair. To participate in this study, your healthcare provider must determine that you are a candidate for both mitral valve transcatheter edge-to-edge repair and surgical repair. This study takes place in multiple locations across the United States and Canada.
