Are you a 30- to 55-year-old smoker or non-smoker who would like to support better understanding of COPD risk factors? This study aims to find early signs of COPD in adults who have a high risk of this condition. Researchers will compare results from questionnaires, lung tests, and other tests in people who smoke and in people who do not smoke to look for factors that predict which people will develop COPD. To participate in this study, you must either currently smoke or have no history of smoking. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Are you a woman 18 years old or older who has been diagnosed with LAM? This study is examining whether long-term treatment with medicine called sirolimus can stop lung damage in women who have LAM. This study takes place at multiple locations in the United States.

Are you between 14 and 22 weeks pregnant, and think that you might have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) ? This study is testing whether using CPAP to treat obstructive sleep apnea in pregnant women can help lower the risk of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Are you an adult who has been diagnosed with sleep apnea, prediabetes, and overweight or obesity? This study aims to understand how sleep apnea raises the risk of diabetes. The study will test whether treating sleep apnea with medicines or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) helps lower the risk of diabetes in people who have prediabetes. To participate in this study, you must be 20 to 65 years old. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

Are you an African American adult with type 2 diabetes? This study is testing whether mindfulness meditation can help reduce stress and improve sleep. Participants will attend eight meditation classes in person or online and will receive regular text messages to remind them to practice meditation techniques at home. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

DIVA is a pragmatic randomized clinical trial (RCT) to determine: among (P) preterm infants born 24-27 6/7 weeks gestation undergoing extubation from mechanical ventilation, whether (I) Non-invasive neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NIV-NAVA) (C) compared with Non-synchronized nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NS-NIPPV), will reduce the incidence of (O) extubation failure within (T) 5 days (120 hours) of extubation.

Does your child have Down Syndrome? Did they have a complete atrioventricular septal defect (CAVSD) repair within the first year of their life? Researchers in this study are investigating how the
brain develops in children with Down Syndrome who have congenital heart disease. To participate, your child must be between 5 and 12 years old and have Down Syndrome. The study will enroll children who have congenital heart disease as well as children who do not have congenital heart disease. The overall goal is to assess the potential of the radiotracer to track inflammatory cells in lung diseases.

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare different types of blood transfusions for critically injured patients who require large-volume blood transfusions. Participants must be at least 15 years old and need a massive blood transfusion. The study is taking place in locations in Alabama, California, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Are you interested in participating in clinical research about ultrasounds? Ultrasounds are one of the most common ways to take images of the inside of your body. In some cases, something called a contrast agent is injected through an IV to make your organs even more visible during the ultrasound. Researchers in this clinical trial are comparing a new type of contrast agent to the current type used in ultrasounds. Participants must be 19 years old and considered to be generally healthy.
