Do you or your child have sickle cell disease and also have an interest in contributing to long-term data collection? This study is monitoring patients and collecting biological samples from patients who have sickle cell disease to better understand long-term outcomes. Participants can be any age and must have sickle cell disease. This study is located in six sites in Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Are you scheduled for a stem cell transplant with cord blood? This study will assess the safety and effectiveness of certain cord blood transplants. The study will help researchers learn the best methods for collecting, storing, and using cord blood in transplants. To participate in this study, you must have a disorder that compromises your body’s ability to make blood cells. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you an adult with a diagnosed sleep phase disorder? This study aims to assess the sleep patterns and quality of sleep in people who have sleep phase disorders to determine how the disorders affect their circadian rhythms. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have a sleep phase disorder, such as advanced sleep-wake phase syndrome or delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome. This study is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Are you between 40 and 85 with worsening idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis? This study aims to test a new combination treatment for acute exacerbations, a life-threatening complication of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) that has no approved treatment. The treatment is meant to help stop part of the immune system from further injuring the lung tissue. To participate in this study, you must be between 40 and 85 years old and have worsening IPF. This study is located in Birmingham, Alabama; Boston, Massachusetts; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Are you an adult woman who would like to help develop methods to prevent the worsening of LAM? This study aims to discover whether earlier and longer treatment with a lower dose of sirolimus can help prevent LAM from getting worse over time. To participate in this study, you must be female, be at least 18 years old, and have been diagnosed with LAM. This study is located in Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Chicago, Illinois; Cincinnati, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; Nashville, Tennessee; Palo Alto, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Seattle, Washington.

Are you an adult interested in comparing effects of different exercise training on blood pressure? This study aims to compare how different types of exercise can affect blood pressure in African Americans. Participants will do either aerobic activities, focusing on raising their heart rate, or muscle-strengthening resistance activities, focusing on weights, for 24 to 26 weeks. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 50 years old, have a sedentary lifestyle and elevated blood pressure, and have been born in the United States to either two African American or two non-Hispanic Caucasian parents. This study is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Do you want to take part in a supervised exercise program and help science? This study will see how aerobic and resistance exercise affect blood pressure. In the study you will take part in one of these exercise programs for two months. You will be supervised by a physical therapist or an exercise physiologist during the exercises. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 55 years old, and not be taking medicine for high blood pressure. This study is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Are you an adult who has PAD and overweight or obesity? This study aims to learn whether participating in an exercise program with a weight loss program reduces PAD signs and symptoms more than an exercise program alone. To participate, you must be between 18 and 85 years old, have PAD, and have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 28 but less than 45. Participants must also be willing to use a smartphone and attend weekly study sessions. This study is located in Evanston, Illinois; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Are you an adult with sickle cell disease? This study aims to determine whether monthly exchange blood transfusions (removing blood and replacing it with transfused red blood cells) can improve health and prevent or reduce the number of pain crises. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, have sickle cell disease, and have not been on a chronic exchange transfusion program for at least 2 months. This study is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
