Patients with chronic pain who use opioids appear to be at increased risk for breathing issues during sleep, termed sleep disordered breathing (SDB). Treatment of SDB often consists of use of a device during sleep that provides continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) via a mask interface. However, this device is not effective or tolerated in all individuals. The goal of this study is to examine whether a medication called acetazolamide can improve SDB, as an alternative to CPAP treatment.

The investigators' central hypothesis is that early combination therapy with two PAH-specific oral therapies that have been shown to be well tolerated in the pediatric population, sildenafil and bosentan, will result in better World Health Organization (WHO) functional class at 12 months after initiation of PAH treatment than therapy with sildenafil alone.

Are you a young adult? Would you like to join a study about healthy eating habits? Choosing healthy foods can prevent obesity, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce cardiovascular disease risk. In this study, researchers will create messages about food, health, and the environment. They’ll share these messages online to see if they change the foods young adults choose by providing healthy substitutions. To join the study, you must be between 18 to 25 years. The study is taking place in Palo Alto, California.
