DIVA is a pragmatic randomized clinical trial (RCT) to determine: among (P) preterm infants born 24-27 6/7 weeks gestation undergoing extubation from mechanical ventilation, whether (I) Non-invasive neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NIV-NAVA) (C) compared with Non-synchronized nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NS-NIPPV), will reduce the incidence of (O) extubation failure within (T) 5 days (120 hours) of extubation.

This is a combined retrospective and prospective, longitudinal, observational meta-cohort of individuals age 0-25 years who will enter the cohort with and without SARS-CoV-2 infection at varying stages before and after infection. Individuals with and without SARS-CoV-2 infection and with or without PASC symptoms will be followed to identify risk factors and occurrence of PASC. This study will be conducted in the United States and participants will be recruited through inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings. Study data including age, demographics, social determinants of health, medical history, vaccination history, details of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection, overall health and physical function, and PASC symptoms will be reported by participants or collected from the electronic health record using a case report form at specified intervals. Biologic specimens will be collected at specified intervals, with some tests performed in local clinical laboratories and others performed by centralized research centers or banked in the Biospecimen Repository. Advanced clinical examinations and radiologic examinations will be performed at local study sites with cross-site standardization.

To participate, you cannot have cardiovascular disease or dementia. Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. You must be 60 years old to participate. Did you develop atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery? Did you develop atrial fibrillation after a coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery? This study is looking at how well oral anticoagulation medicines work to prevent complications, such as blood clots and heart attack, for patients who experience post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF). Have you been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)? Have you been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)? Many ICU patients experience profound sleep and circadian rhythm disruption. This study will test how light, feeding, mobility, and sleep may normalize circadian rhythms and improve sleep and metabolism. You may be able to participate if you are 18 years old or older. Do you have heart failure that is well controlled through medication and attending regular appointments with your healthcare provider? This clinical trial is testing a dietary supplement taken by mouth twice a day for five days to see if it can help patients with heart failure. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Do you have endometriosis? Researchers in this clinical trial are studying the effect of therapy that lowers estrogen levels on the risk of cardiovascular disease among women with endometriosis. Do you have a Type B aortic dissection? Do you have a Type B aortic dissection? This study will compare a surgical procedure (TEVAR) followed by medical therapy to a more traditional approach using medical therapy with surveillance to determine if TEVAR can reduce complications. The TEVAR procedure is minimally-invasive. You may be able to participate if you are 18 years old or older. This study is recruiting in multiple locations.
