Are you a 30- to 55-year-old smoker or non-smoker who would like to support better understanding of COPD risk factors? This study aims to find early signs of COPD in adults who have a high risk of this condition. Researchers will compare results from questionnaires, lung tests, and other tests in people who smoke and in people who do not smoke to look for factors that predict which people will develop COPD. To participate in this study, you must either currently smoke or have no history of smoking. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Have you or your child been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and would you like to support better diagnosis of lung infections? This study is exploring new ways to diagnose bacterial lung infections in people who have cystic fibrosis. The study will test whether analyzing a participant’s breath and sputum samples can help diagnose infections. Participants in this study must be at least 3 years old. This study is taking place in multiple locations in the United States.

Is your child an individual with Down syndrome and obstructive sleep apnea? This study is examining whether a combination medication therapy that includes atomoxetine and oxybutynin can help treat obstructive sleep apnea in children with Down syndrome. Participants in this study must be between 6 and 17 years old. This study takes place in Tucson, Arizona.

Do you have heart failure that is well controlled through medication and attending regular appointments with your healthcare provider? This clinical trial is testing a dietary supplement taken by mouth twice a day for five days to see if it can help patients with heart failure. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Do you have heart failure? In this clinical trial, researchers are using images of the heart and blood tests to learn more about Black and Hispanic patients with heart failure. You may be able to participate if you are at least 60 years old; of Black, Hispanic, or Caribbean origin; and have been diagnosed with heart failure. The study is taking place in locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.

Do you have endometriosis? Researchers in this clinical trial are studying the effect of therapy that lowers estrogen levels on the risk of cardiovascular disease among women with endometriosis. To join the study, you must be between the ages of 18 and 45. The study is enrolling women with endometriosis, as well as women without endometriosis. Do you or one of your children have a congenital heart defect? This study will find both common genetic causes of congenital heart disease and ways that genes influence results of medical treatment. To participate in this study, you or your child must have congenital heart disease. This study is located in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, and San Francisco, California; New Haven, Connecticut; Boston, Massachusetts; New York and Rochester, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Did you develop atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery? Did you develop atrial fibrillation after a coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery? This study is looking at how well oral anticoagulation medicines work to prevent complications, such as blood clots and heart attack, for patients who experience post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF). This study is in multiple locations around the country.

Are you an adult with heart failure and an implanted CardioMEMS pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) monitor? This study is investigating whether psychological stress can make the symptoms of heart failure worse. Participants of this study will have their blood pressure monitored and their blood drawn after undergoing mental stress in a controlled setting, within a laboratory. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in New Haven, Connecticut.
