Has your doctor recommended right heart cardiac catheterization for you? This study is investigating new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques that use a guidewire to help position a heart catheter within the heart. MRI fluoroscopy shows pictures of the heart so that doctors can watch while they work. Using the guidewire during MRI may improve the procedure of heart catheterization. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, and your doctor must have recommended right heart catheterization for you. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you an adult interested in a new treatment for pulmonary hypertension? This study is exploring whether a medicine called spironolactone can improve heart and lung function during exercise in people who have pulmonary hypertension. To participate in this study, you must be 18 to 99 years old and have a type of pulmonary hypertension known as pulmonary arterial hypertension. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Do you or your child have pulmonary hypertension and want to help research? This study is looking to better understand pulmonary hypertension in children who have this condition. To participate in this study, you or your child must be 21 years old or younger and must have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension before the age of 18. This study is located at multiple sites across the United States and Canada, including California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Alberta, Canada.

Do you or a family member have pulmonary hypertension? This study is looking at how hormones contribute to pulmonary arterial hypertension and whether treatments for hormone imbalances or insulin resistance also improve pulmonary hypertension. To participate in this study, you must be 90 years old or younger and have pulmonary arterial hypertension or be a family member of someone who has this condition. This study is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Are you an adult with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and currently taking vasodilators? This study is testing the efficacy of a new medicine called famotidine for people with PAH. Participants in this study must be between 18 and 80 years old and willing to take famotidine or a placebo for 6 months. This study takes place in Seattle, Washington.

Are you an adult with a diagnosed sleep phase disorder? This study aims to assess the sleep patterns and quality of sleep in people who have sleep phase disorders to determine how the disorders affect their circadian rhythms. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have a sleep phase disorder, such as advanced sleep-wake phase syndrome or delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome. Does your child have overweight or obesity? This study is exploring the link between obesity and sleep deprivation in children. Researchers will test whether participants who do not get enough good quality sleep have trouble making healthy food choices. Do you identify as a Black or White adult and are interested in helping research? This study is testing whether people who experience negative behaviors from others because of their race have a high risk of sleep problems. Researchers will use sleep studies to measure participants’ sleep patterns after they experience negative behaviors because of their race. To participate in this study, you must be 18 to 64 years old. This study takes place in San Francisco, California.

Do you get less than 7 hours of sleep each day and take medicine for opioid use disorder (OUD)? This study is looking at how the brain systems that control sleep can affect medication-assisted treatment in people who have opioid use disorder. The study will test whether suvorexant can help improve sleep and reduce stress without interfering with treatments for OUD. To participate in this study, you must be 21 to 65 years old. This study takes place at various locations in Baltimore, Bel Air, and Elkton, Maryland.
