Do you suffer from insomnia?
Do you suffer from insomnia? The kind of insomnia you have might have an impact on other health outcomes like blood pressure. This study will examine whether patients with short and normal sleep duration respond differently to two common insomnia treatments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia or the medication trazodone. You may be able to participate if you are 18 years old or older and meet the criteria for chronic insomnia.

Are you currently enrolled in the Risk Underlying Rural Areas Longitudinal (RURAL) study and between the ages of 25 and 65?
Are you currently enrolled in the Risk Underlying Rural Areas Longitudinal (RURAL) study and between the ages of 25 and 65? If so, you may be able to participate in a sub-study to help understand how sleep habits can contribute to heart health. This sub-study measures sleep apnea, sleep duration, timing, and regularity combined with questionnaire responses to assess insomnia, sleep quality, sleep-related impairment, and fatigue.

Do you have HIV and insomnia?
This study is looking at whether insomnia increases pain and inflammation in people who have HIV. To participate in this study, you must be 18 to 85 years old and either be healthy or diagnosed with HIV, with or without insomnia. This study is located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Have you previously been prescribed opioid medicines?
This study will find out whether waking up frequently during the night can affect the way your brain processes certain medicines. To participate in this study, you must be 18 to 48 years old, have a normal sleep cycle, and have previously taken opioid medicines to treat pain. This study is located in Baltimore, Maryland.
