Do you have overweight or obesity and are not in a weight management program? This study is investigating whether self-weighing, combined with follow-up encouragement, promotes weight loss and use of weight management resources. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 70 and overweight or obese and with weight-related comorbidity (hypertension, type II diabetes, pre-diabetes, dyslipidemia, sleep apnea). This study is located in Gainesville, Florida.

Does your teen not get the recommended amounts of healthy food and physical activity? This study is testing a new program to improve diet and exercise in Hispanic parents and their teenagers. The new treatment program will provide participants with information on healthy lifestyle changes. Participants will also be assigned to a coach who will provide support and monitor the family’s progress. Participants in this study must be at least 12 years old, Hispanic, and not getting the recommended amounts of healthy foods and exercise. This study takes place in Miami, Florida.
