Are you interested in helping researchers learn more about how inflammation and diseases of the blood vessels start? Diseases related to the immune system, blood clots, and blood vessels are interrelated. This study is trying to understand how these diseases start and what happens in the different organs in people with these diseases. To participate in this study, you or your child should be 5 years old or older and be healthy or have an autoimmune disease, or problems with blood clots or blood vessels. This study is in Bethesda, Maryland.

Have you been diagnosed with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH)? Researchers are studying whether a new medicine derived from natural compounds in buckwheat seeds improves the function of “good” HDL cholesterol. To participate in this study, you should be 18 to 69 years old and have been diagnosed with FH. This study is recruiting in Nashville, Tennessee.

Would you like more support with your heart and metabolic health? Would you like more support with your heart and metabolic health? This study will provide patients with personalized information about community-based resources to support health-related social needs and heart and metabolic health. You may be able to participate if you are 2 years or older, African American or Black, and you have at least one cardiometabolic condition. Conditions may include being overweight, having high blood pressure, pre-diabetes or diabetes, and/or high cholesterol. This study is recruiting in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Do you or your child have dyslipidemia? This study is exploring how different diagnostic tests can help us understand how lipid disorders, including high blood cholesterol and high blood triglycerides, affect the body. Information from this study may help improve the way lipid disorders are diagnosed or treated in the future. Participants in this study must be at least 2 years old. Are you an adult who is healthy or has problems with the level of cholesterol or other lipids in the blood? This study is gathering information on the risk factors for very high or very low levels of lipids, or fats, in the blood. Researchers will collect participants’ demographic information, medical history, and blood samples. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in Dallas, Texas.

Are you a healthy adult who wants to join a study about less sitting? You might qualify for this research. Researchers are testing if walking breaks can improve cardiovascular health, like blood pressure and glucose (sugar) levels. To join, you must be 18 years old and have no long-term health issues or not be taking medications for blood pressure or diabetes. Participants will have to go to the study site for a 9-hour visit and walk on a treadmill during the day. The study is taking place in New York City, New York.

Do you have high blood pressure? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying different ways to improve home blood pressure monitoring. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 85 years old and diagnosed with high blood pressure. Participants will work closely with clinicians or other healthcare providers to schedule appointments, coordinate care, measure blood pressure, answer your questions, and treat your high blood pressure. The study is taking place in Rochester, New York.

Do you have low blood pressure due to primary autonomic failure from a medical condition such as Parkinson disease, multiple system atrophy, or pure autonomic failure? Autonomic failure is caused by problems with a part of the nervous system called the autonomic nervous system. People with this condition can suffer debilitating low blood pressure upon standing. This study is testing the use of compression garments compared with a medicine called midodrine to improve blood pressure. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 80 years old and have low blood pressure when standing. This study takes place in Nashville, Tennessee.
