Are you an African American living in Washington, D.C., or Montgomery or Prince Georges counties in Maryland? This study will examine how your genes and health behaviors and where you live and work contribute to your risk of heart disease. To participate you must be between 21 and 65 years old. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you able to have a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan and want to help people with heart failure? This study is developing new methods for imaging the heart and blood vessels using MRI to improve how healthcare providers diagnose people with heart failure. Are you an adult with bipolar disorder and high blood pressure who struggles to take medicine correctly or on time? This study is exploring new ways to use interactive text messaging to help people with these two conditions remember how and when to take medicine that can lower blood pressure. To participate in this study, you must be between 21 and 80 years old and take at least one medicine for high blood pressure. This study takes place in Cleveland, Ohio.
