Is your family from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka? If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical study looking at cardiovascular disease, such as heart disease and stroke among people of South Asian descent. Participants must be between 40 and 84 years old and have no history of heart attack or stroke, heart failure, angina, or atrial fibrillation. This study is taking place in San Francisco, California, Chicago, Illinois, and New York City, New York.

Do you have heart disease? This study is looking to improve the quality of heart CT scans by using new methods to create the images. You may be able to participate in the study if you are 18 years old or older, have heart disease, and have been told by your doctor that you need a CT scan. Are you 75 years old or older and interested in participating in a clinical trial where researchers are studying whether statins, which are often used to treat high cholesterol, can help improve heart and brain health. To participate, you cannot have cardiovascular disease or dementia. Do you have mitral valve disease? This clinical trial is testing different types of images taken of the heart to learn more about mitral valve disease and the best ways to treat it. You must be 60 years old to participate. The study is enrolling patients in locations in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Quebec City, Canada.

Do you have coronary heart disease or are you healthy and would like to participate in research? This study is comparing how well two types of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners can detect different types of heart diseases, such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, congenital heart disease, and heart valve disease. The new type of MRI scanner in this study uses less energy than a traditional scanner and may be suitable for people who have metal devices in their bodies. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Do you or your child have cardiovascular disease or want to help research? This study aims to improve cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. The clinical investigators will use new MRI methods to look at healthy people and people who have heart problems. Participants in this study must be at least 7 years old, be healthy or have cardiovascular disease, and not be pregnant. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Do you or your child have cardiovascular disease or want to help research? This study aims to identify better MRI methods and new ways of imaging cardiovascular disease to understand cardiovascular and brain function. Researchers are also interested in seeing whether gadolinium, the commonly used MRI contrast agent, stays in the body long after an MRI is performed. To participate in this study, you or your child should be healthy or have a cardiovascular condition and be at least 7 years old.

Do you or your child have a disease affecting the blood vessels? This study is collecting blood samples to study the role of inflammation in diseases of the blood vessels, including coronary heart disease and sickle cell disease. Do you have depression symptoms and have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease? This study aims to find out whether an online tool can help improve symptoms of depression in people who have coronary heart disease and encourage them to start treatment for depression. To participate in this study, you must be at least 21 years old and have symptoms of depression and a history of coronary heart disease. This study is located in New York, New York.
