Have you been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)?
Have you been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)? Many ICU patients experience profound sleep and circadian rhythm disruption. This study will test how light, feeding, mobility, and sleep may normalize circadian rhythms and improve sleep and metabolism. You may be able to participate if you are 18 years old or older. This study is recruiting in New Haven, Connecticut.

Do you do shift work and are interested in metabolic health? This study looks at how diet may affect circadian misalignment. To join, you must be 18 to 45 years old and in good health. As a participant, you will stay in the study hospital twice and get all your meals during the study. The study is taking place at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Are you a former smoker with COPD? Researchers are studying whether taking aspirin can help with COPD symptoms. Participants must be at least 40 years old, be diagnosed with COPD, and have a history of smoking at least 10 packs of cigarettes a year. The study is taking place in Baltimore, Maryland.

Are you an adult diagnosed with COPD? If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical trial where researchers are studying whether a home delivery program with foods meant to help increase the amount of omega-3 that you eat can help with COPD. Are you a smoker with COPD who is willing to use an e-cigarette to reduce how much you smoke? If so, you may be able to participate in a study that is trying to learn more about the effect of switching from smoking cigarettes to using e-cigarettes on COPD symptoms. You may be able to participate if you are 21 to 74 years old, have mild to moderate COPD, and are willing to try e-cigarettes to cut back on your smoking. Have you received treatment from a doctor for COPD that has gotten worse and have you been referred for pulmonary rehabilitation, which can help ease the symptoms of COPD.? In this study, researchers are comparing two ways to encourage people to participate in pulmonary rehabilitation. Participants must be at least 40 years old and be willing to participate in calls with a peer coach and view videos. The study is taking place in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Are you a current or former smoker?
This study will evaluate if treatment with blood thinners (aspirin and clopidogrel) improves blood flow in the lungs Each participant will take the medicine or placebo, each for 2 weeks, in a random order over 6 weeks and will be evaluated by a computer tomography of the chest two times during the study period. To participate in this study, you should be 50 to 75 years old, current or former smoker and either have COPD or normal lung function. This study is recruiting in Boston, Massachusetts.

Do you have asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)?
This study will evaluate if the medicine N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) aerosol delivered with positive pressure reduces mucus in the lungs and enhances lung function compared to NAC delivered without positive pressure. To participate in this study, you should be 18 to 85 years old, have asthma or COPD, and be able to take lung function tests. This study is recruiting in San Francisco, California.

This study is testing if cleaning the air in your house with an air filter will improve your quality of life by reducing your COPD symptoms and having to take less medicines. To participate in this study, you should be 40 years old or older, have COPD, and have smoked for at least 6 months. This study has multiple locations.
