Are you a professional caregiver for an adult who has serious heart failure? This study is testing whether electronic educational resources, in addition to in-person training , help home aids be more knowledgeable and confident in caring for adults who have serious heart failure. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 75 years old, be employed at Visiting Nurse Service of New York's Partners in Care agency, and care for an adult who has heart failure. This study is located in New York, New York.

Are you an adult with heart failure and an implanted CardioMEMS pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) monitor? This study is investigating whether psychological stress can make the symptoms of heart failure worse. Participants of this study will have their blood pressure monitored and their blood drawn after undergoing mental stress in a controlled setting, within a laboratory. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in New Haven, Connecticut.

Do you have heart failure and need treatment with intravenous (IV) diuretics? This study is exploring the use of chloride supplementation in people with heart failure who require treatment with IV diuretics, which are used to help rid your body of excess water and salt. To participate in this study, you must have heart failure with signs of volume overload (rales, edema, elevated jugular venous pressure [JVP], or weight gain of at least 5 pounds) requiring treatment with IV diuretics. This study takes place in New Haven, Connecticut.

This study is recruiting people with heart failure and people with normal heart function to explore the role of the gut microbiome in heart and blood vessel function. Do you have heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)? This study is testing the effectiveness of thyroid hormone therapy with a medicine called liothyronine (LT3) in individuals HFrEF. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have Class I, II, or III heart failure. This study takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Are you an adult with mild heart failure (HF) and left bundle branch block (LBBB)? LBBB is a heart condition in which there is a delay or blockage of electrical signals to the left side of the heart. This study is exploring the use of a treatment called cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in people with HF and LBBB. To have CRT, participants must be willing to have an implanted device, called a biventricular pacemaker, that helps the chambers of the heart work together to pump blood more efficiently. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in Rochester, Minnesota.

Are you an adult with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and currently taking vasodilators? This study is testing the efficacy of a new medicine called famotidine for people with PAH. Participants in this study must be between 18 and 80 years old and willing to take famotidine or a placebo for 6 months. This study takes place in Seattle, Washington.

This study is testing the use of an intervention called positive psychology–motivational interviewing (PP-MI). Researchers are exploring whether this 12-week intervention delivered by phone and text message can improve the physical and mental health of people with heart failure.
