To participate, your child must be between the age of 12 and 18 and have an iPhone or Android device on which an app can be installed. The study is taking place at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and participants are expected to remain in the Tampa Bay area for the duration of the study.

Do you have severe asthma? Researchers in this study are trying to determine if a person's genetic makeup changes how a steroid used to treat asthma affects how well it works. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 50 years old. The study is taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Researchers are trying to examine the effectiveness of a tailored implementation plan of Asthma CHAMPS in reducing asthma-related absences, healthcare utilization and exacerbations and improving asthma control. To join, children must be enrolled in Baltimore City Public Schools. The study is taking place in Baltimore, Maryland.

Do you have a child with asthma who is 5 to 12 years old? This study looks at whether access to a culturally tailored, Asma Guardian website/app would improves asthma management. The app is specifically designed for use by caregivers of Mexican American or other Hispanic descent. The study is located in Austin, Texas.

Does your child have asthma that is not well controlled? This study will evaluate different ways to treat asthma for children is certain communities. Your child may be able to participate if they are between 5 and 12 and if you live in certain areas of Colorado where the study is taking place.

Do you have asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)? This study will evaluate if the medicine N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) aerosol delivered with positive pressure reduces mucus in the lungs and enhances lung function compared to NAC delivered without positive pressure. To participate in this study, you should be 18 to 85 years old, have asthma or COPD, and be able to take lung function tests. This study is recruiting in San Francisco, California.

Do you have asthma and are you overweight? This study aims to determine if metformin, a diabetes medicine, is effective in improving asthma conditions in individuals who are overweight or who have obesity. To enroll in this study, you must be an adult with poorly controlled asthma and your body mass index should be above 25.

Is your child 5 to 14 years old and living with asthma? This study is recruiting participants to determine if children enrolled in Asthma Link, a school supervised asthma therapy program, show better control of asthma compared to children in the enhanced usual care condition. To enroll your child in this study, they should be prescribed a daily inhaled corticosteroid and have poorly controlled asthma. This study is located in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Are you an adult younger than 75 years old who has asthma? This study is evaluating how participants respond to two approved asthma medicines and to understand the causes of severe asthma. Your asthma medication must be the same in the past 2 months for you to participate in the study. It is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, and La Jolla, California, and New Haven, Connecticut.
