Is your child having otolaryngologic surgery with anesthesia? Children with Down syndrome often experience dangerously low heart rates when they receive anesthesia for procedures. Are you an adult with cardiomyopathy who is eligible for a left ventricular assist device (LVAD)? This study is investigating whether a ventricular arrhythmia (VTA) ablation at the same time that an LVAD is implanted lowers the risk of VTA after surgery.
