Are you a woman who is postmenopausal or a man older than 65? This study will investigate the effects of oral progesterone for older women and testosterone for older men on QT intervals. QT intervals that are increased by medicine can lead to dangerous heart rhythm problems. Researchers hope to learn more about why this happens and how to deliver safer doses. Is your child having otolaryngologic surgery with anesthesia? Children with Down syndrome often experience dangerously low heart rates when they receive anesthesia for procedures. This study will look at children who have Down syndrome and children who do not to monitor their heart rate during this type of procedure. Participants in this study must be between 1 and 8 years old. This study is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Are you an adult with heart failure and right bundle branch block (RBBB)? This study will evaluate the effectiveness and benefit of His-bundle-pacing enhanced cardiac resynchronization therapy (His-CRT) versus cardiac resynchronization therapy (BiV-CRT). This study is located in Rochester, New York.

Are you a female between 18 and 55 years old who has postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS)? This study is looking at the sympathetic nervous system and its effect on the increased heart rate and dizziness upon standing that people with POTS experience. This study is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Are you an adult with postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS)? This study is investigating whether an antibody-mediated autoimmune reaction lead to the dizziness and other symptoms of POTS. The study will also test whether vagal stimulation improves POTS symptoms. This study takes place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Are you an adult with cardiomyopathy who is eligible for a left ventricular assist device (LVAD)? This study is investigating whether a ventricular arrhythmia (VTA) ablation at the same time that an LVAD is implanted lowers the risk of VTA after surgery. This study is located in Rochester, New York.

Are you at least 12 weeks pregnant? This study is recruiting women with healthy pregnancies and women who have experienced an abnormal fetal heart rate or rhythm. Researchers are evaluating fetal magnetocardiography as a new tool to improve the study of fetal heart rate and rhythm. This study is located in Madison, Wisconsin.

The investigators propose to study the relationship between right ventricle (RV) steatosis and RV function, exercise capacity, and outcomes in humans with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and to identify potential drivers of lipid accumulation.

The Investigators propose a randomized trial of smart texts versus usual care for 6 months. The Investigators will randomize 100 PAH patients to the mHealth intervention or usual care. The Investigators will test the effect of a text-based mHealth intervention on HRQOL in PAH using the PAH-specific emPHasis-10 questionnaire. The Investigators will also test the effect of an mHealth intervention on exercise capacity, measured by a supervised home-based 6MWD test. Finally, the Investigators will examine the effect of the intervention on time to clinical worsening (composite of PAH therapy escalation, PAH hospitalization, and death) one year after randomization.

Are you a healthy adult who wants to join a study about less sitting? You might qualify for this research. Researchers are testing if walking breaks can improve cardiovascular health, like blood pressure and glucose (sugar) levels. To join, you must be 18 years old and have no long-term health issues or not be taking medications for blood pressure or diabetes.
