Are you a current patient at Massachusetts General Hospital or Brigham and Women’s Hospital with clinical depression and heart failure or unstable chest pain (called angina)? This study is investigating whether 26 weeks of education and increased monitoring from healthcare managers improves psychiatric and heart symptoms better than self-managed care. This study takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Have you experienced a cardiac event in the past 6 months? This study assesses the efficacy of combining center-based and remote- or home-based cardiac rehabilitation sessions. Many patients who require cardiac rehabilitation, including those with angina myocardial infarction, heart failure, heart valve disease, and coronary heart (artery) disease, do not complete the necessary amount of rehabilitation sessions when done in a center-based environment. Researchers are investigating whether a combination approach will help. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 85 years old. This study takes place in Detroit, Michigan.

The Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has been designed to administer therapeutic agents in the peripheral vasculature. Because of the unique design of the catheter, with its six expandable infusion limbs, the Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has the ability to: 1. Create a much larger central channel for blood flow, thereby utilizing the body's own endogenous fibrinolytic agents to lyse the clot, and 2. Greatly enhance the radial dispersion of a catheter-administered thrombolytic agent throughout the thrombus. Expansion of the multiple arms of the basket in the infusion catheter causes fissuring of the clot. The net result is that a greater surface area of clot is exposed to both endogenous and exogenously administered lytic agents, thereby promoting clot dissolution.

Do you or your child have a platelet, bleeding, or white blood cell disorder? This study is looking at people who have platelet or other blood disorders. The researchers will use a blood sample to look for problems with platelets and a possible genetic cause in the participant’s DNA or RNA. To participate in this study, you must be a child or adult who either is healthy or has a platelet disorder, coagulation disorder, or white blood cell disorder. This study is located in New York, New York.

This study evaluates a sensor-controlled digital game (SCDG) to motivate self-management behaviors of weight monitoring and physical activity in adults with heart failure (HF). Half of the participants will receive the SCDG app and weight monitoring and physical activity sensors and the other half will receive only the weight monitoring and physical activity sensors.

Researchers are testing whether an online program helps lower the number of times patients with heart failure return to the hospital. Are you an adult planning to get a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implant to treat heart failure? If so, you may be able to take part in a clinical trial about heart failure. Researchers are testing whether a dietary supplement can improve heart function for people with advanced heart failure. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and be scheduled for elective LVAD implantation. The study is taking place in Seattle, Washington.

Are you at least 18 years old and have heart failure? Researchers in this clinical trial are testing whether a new type of hormone therapy may help with symptoms and quality of life for people who have heart failure.
