Are you a current patient at Massachusetts General Hospital or Brigham and Women’s Hospital with clinical depression and heart failure or unstable chest pain (called angina)? This study is investigating whether 26 weeks of education and increased monitoring from healthcare managers improves psychiatric and heart symptoms better than self-managed care. This study takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Have you experienced a cardiac event in the past 6 months? This study assesses the efficacy of combining center-based and remote- or home-based cardiac rehabilitation sessions. Many patients who require cardiac rehabilitation, including those with angina myocardial infarction, heart failure, heart valve disease, and coronary heart (artery) disease, do not complete the necessary amount of rehabilitation sessions when done in a center-based environment. Researchers are investigating whether a combination approach will help. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 85 years old. This study takes place in Detroit, Michigan.

The Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has been designed to administer therapeutic agents in the peripheral vasculature. Because of the unique design of the catheter, with its six expandable infusion limbs, the Bashir™ Endovascular Catheter has the ability to: 1. Create a much larger central channel for blood flow, thereby utilizing the body's own endogenous fibrinolytic agents to lyse the clot, and 2. Greatly enhance the radial dispersion of a catheter-administered thrombolytic agent throughout the thrombus. Expansion of the multiple arms of the basket in the infusion catheter causes fissuring of the clot. The net result is that a greater surface area of clot is exposed to both endogenous and exogenously administered lytic agents, thereby promoting clot dissolution.

Do you or your child have a platelet, bleeding, or white blood cell disorder? This study is looking at people who have platelet or other blood disorders. The researchers will use a blood sample to look for problems with platelets and a possible genetic cause in the participant’s DNA or RNA. To participate in this study, you must be a child or adult who either is healthy or has a platelet disorder, coagulation disorder, or white blood cell disorder. This study is located in New York, New York.

Are you an adult with a diagnosed sleep phase disorder? This study aims to assess the sleep patterns and quality of sleep in people who have sleep phase disorders to determine how the disorders affect their circadian rhythms. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have a sleep phase disorder, such as advanced sleep-wake phase syndrome or delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome. This study is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Do you have overweight? Circadian rhythm disorders can cause overweight and obesity. This study is examining how not getting enough sleep causes these complications. Are you a healthy adult who regularly sleeps for 6.5 or fewer hours? This study is examining whether getting enough sleep can lower your risk of high blood pressure. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 65 years old, regularly sleep for 6.5 or fewer hours, and be able to adjust your sleep schedule for the study. This study evaluates a sensor-controlled digital game (SCDG) to motivate self-management behaviors of weight monitoring and physical activity in adults with heart failure (HF). Half of the participants will receive the SCDG app and weight monitoring and physical activity sensors and the other half will receive only the weight monitoring and physical activity sensors.
