Do you or your child have a lung disease? This study will investigate the genes involved in the breathing process and in the development of lung diseases such as asthma or sarcoidosis to improve understanding of the role they play. This study is testing whether a medicine called metformin can help treat aortic aneurisms in the abdomen. The study will use imaging tests to examine whether metformin can help prevent these aortic aneurisms from getting bigger. Are you an adult with a diagnosed sleep phase disorder? This study aims to assess the sleep patterns and quality of sleep in people who have sleep phase disorders to determine how the disorders affect their circadian rhythms. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have a sleep phase disorder, such as advanced sleep-wake phase syndrome or delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome. Are you a healthy adult who regularly sleeps for 6.5 or fewer hours? This study is examining whether getting enough sleep can lower your risk of high blood pressure. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 65 years old, regularly sleep for 6.5 or fewer hours, and be able to adjust your sleep schedule for the study. This study is located in Rochester, Minnesota.

Are you a healthy adult who wants to join a study about less sitting? You might qualify for this research. Researchers are testing if walking breaks can improve cardiovascular health, like blood pressure and glucose (sugar) levels. To join, you must be 18 years old and have no long-term health issues or not be taking medications for blood pressure or diabetes. Participants will have to go to the study site for a 9-hour visit and walk on a treadmill during the day. The study is taking place in New York City, New York.

Do you have high blood pressure? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying different ways to improve home blood pressure monitoring. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 85 years old and diagnosed with high blood pressure. Have you been diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance? This study aims to find out how the body’s regulation of basic functions, such as heart rate and blood pressure, is altered in people who have orthostatic intolerance. This condition, which has an unknown cause, is characterized by a racing heartbeat, dizziness, lightheadedness, and other symptoms that occur when a person stands up.
