Have you been diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy and are within 5 months of your due date? This study is evaluating the effectiveness of a medicine called bromocriptine to treat peripartum cardiomyopathy, or weakness of the heart muscle that occurs during or shortly after pregnancy. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy, and within 5 months of your delivery date. This study takes place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Are you an adult with congenital heart disease? This study uses whole exome sequencing and other genetic tests to identify causes of congenital heart diseases that occur in individuals and families. To participate in this study, you must be an adult with congenital heart disease with or without a family member with congenital heart disease. This study is located in Columbus, Ohio.

Are you 15 to 40 years old and have severe sickle cell disease? This study is comparing long-term outcomes for patients who receive blood and bone marrow transplants and those who receive standard treatment with medicines. Participants also have an option of contributing blood samples to be stored for future research. Participants must be 15 to 40 years old and have severe sickle cell disease. Are you an adult woman who would like to help develop methods to prevent the worsening of LAM? This study aims to discover whether earlier and longer treatment with a lower dose of sirolimus can help prevent LAM from getting worse over time. To participate in this study, you must be female, be at least 18 years old, and have been diagnosed with LAM. This study is located in Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Chicago, Illinois; Cincinnati, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; Nashville, Tennessee; Palo Alto, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Seattle, Washington.

Are you an adult who has granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA)? This study is testing whether prednisone affects flares for people who have GPA, a type of vasculitis, that is in remission. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have GPA that was active within the last year but is currently in remission.

Are you living with HIV and high blood cholesterol or high blood pressure? This study is evaluating a nurse-led reminder system to help people who have HIV stay on track with their heart medicines. Participants will have four visits with a nurse, and the nurse will help them manage their medicine schedule with telephone reminders. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old; have HIV, high blood cholesterol, or high blood pressure or be taking medicines to manage these conditions; and have access to a telephone. This study is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and Durham, North Carolina.

This study is looking at how well oral anticoagulation medicines work to prevent complications, such as blood clots and heart attack, for patients who experience post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF).
