Do you have high blood pressure? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying different ways to improve home blood pressure monitoring. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 85 years old and diagnosed with high blood pressure. Participants will work closely with clinicians or other healthcare providers to schedule appointments, coordinate care, measure blood pressure, answer your questions, and treat your high blood pressure. The study is taking place in Rochester, New York.

Are you at least 13 weeks pregnant? This study looks at how being less active for most of the day, like sitting a lot and sleeping, affects pregnancy and the mother’s heart health over time. Participants must be 18 to 45 years old and pregnant. They will also wear devices that track their movement and activity. Is your family from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka? If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical study looking at cardiovascular disease, such as heart disease and stroke among people of South Asian descent. Participants must be between 40 and 84 years old and have no history of heart attack or stroke, heart failure, angina, or atrial fibrillation. This study is taking place in San Francisco, California, Chicago, Illinois, and New York City, New York.

The purpose of this study is to investigate: 1) whether statins reduce endothelial inflammation and pro-thrombotic conditions in sleep apnea, including in patients adherent to CPAP (Aim 1); and 2) whether statins reduce endothelial inflammation and pro-thrombotic conditions by improving endothelial cholesterol metabolism and trafficking in sleep apnea.

Are you between the ages of 18 and 50 and diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia? In this study, researchers are testing a new medication, gene therapy, to treat cardiomyopathy associated with Friedreich's ataxia, and you may be able to participate if you are not taking any corticosteroids or immunosuppressive medications to treat Friedreich's ataxia. Are you an adult female with LAM? If so, you may be able to participate in this clinical study where researchers are observing patients who are taking or have taken a certain kind of medication, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), to treat lymphangioleiomyomatosis, also known as LAM. You must be at least 18 years old to take part.
