After reviewing 20 years of data shared through clinical research trials, researchers found that less than half of studies included information about the race or ethnicity of participants. The study, partially supported by NHLBI, published in The Lancet Regional Health.
The authors also note that while diverse inclusion in clinical research trials has improved in recent years, more efforts are needed to accurately reflect and support the health of the entire population.
