Dorothy: The Grand Canyon! Oh, and what a great photo of your granddaughter!

Jim: Yeah, that's Katie! She's 10 and she never stops moving!

Dorothy: How did you keep up?

Jim: I COULDN'T have a few years ago. I had such pain in my legs back then, I was afraid my traveling days were over. When I finally told my doctor about it, I found out I have P-A-D.

Dorothy: Right...and what is P-A-D again?

Jim: Peripheral arterial disease—clogged arteries in the legs. It can really affect your mobility—and raise your risk of heart attack and stroke.

Dorothy: How do I know if I'm at risk?

Jim: Those of us over 50, especially smokers or people with diabetes or heart disease are at risk. You should talk to your doctor about it. I'm glad I did. Now, I'm back where I want to be—on the road again! Look, check this one out...Katie and I climbed this ridge...

Announcer: Take steps to learn about peripheral arterial disease. Talk to your health care provider, or go to www dot ABOUT P-A-D dot org. That's ABOUT P-A-D dot org.
