Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Red Dress Collection℠ 2010

In February 2010, The Heart Truth® unveiled its annual Red Dress Collection Fashion Show on Thursday, February 11, with celebrities and designers who helped bring the Red Dress℠ symbol to life to raise awareness of heart disease in women.

The Red Dress® is the centerpiece of The Heart Truth, a national awareness campaign that warns women about their risk of heart disease and urges them to take action. Since The Heart Truth created and launched the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002, the fashion and entertainment industries have been critical to the campaign's success. To date, more than 60 design houses and 107 celebrities have participated in Red Dress Collection Fashion Shows. And women across America have paid attention—the campaign's collaboration with the fashion industry has contributed to a double-digit percentage increase in awareness among women that heart disease is their #1 killer.

The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2010 was presented by Diet Coke. National sponsors of the collection include Swarovski, and Tylenol and St. Joseph Aspirin; make-up partner is Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Red Dress Collection Auction
For the second consecutive year, a selection of dresses worn by celebrities in Red Dress Collection fashion shows was available for the public to bid on at through a partnership with the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation. Proceeds benefited the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and will be used to further efforts related to women's heart health awareness and research.
