Description
Join the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for a hybrid workshop bringing together experts in progenitor cell biology to discuss current progress and barriers; translate advances in progenitor cell biology toward application to heart, lung, and blood diseases; and share ideas, data, and resources to promote collaborative research on regenerative medicine.
NHLBI-supported consortia comprising PCBC (Progenitor Cell Biology Consortium), LRRC (Lung Repair Regeneration Consortium), and PCTC (Progenitor Cell Translation Consortium) brought together outstanding teams of investigators focused on translational aspects of stem and progenitor cells biology and development of diagnostic and therapeutic applications in heart, lung, and blood conditions. We made enormous progress in our understanding of the regenerative biology of these systems in physiological and pathological conditions. Now is the time to look forward. The Regenerative Medicine Symposium aims to address the questions regarding how we will translate the progress made in these areas in the last decade into therapeutics and diagnostics for patients in the next decade.
