Join NHLBI’s Center for Translation Research and Implementation Science (CTRIS) for the first session of the 2023 Health Equity Research Outreach (HERO) Quarterly Lecture Series. Our featured speaker is Marie A. Bernard, M.D., NIH’s chief officer for scientific workforce diversity and co-lead for NIH's UNITE initiative to end structural racism. Dr. Bernard will discuss NIH’s efforts to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

The HERO Quarterly Lecture Series highlights the work and voices of people involved in global and domestic health equity research. It promotes and encourages collaborative efforts that address pressing research challenges and opportunities. The virtual event is free and open to the public.
