The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invite you to the "Predicting, Preventing and Treating Preeclampsia" workshop May 21-22, 2018. The objectives of the 1.5 day workshop are to: 

  • Review the current progress in understanding the pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of preeclampsia

  • Discuss key research challenges and barriers hindering progress

  • Discuss the impact of preeclampsia on long-term health outcomes

  • Explore options for translational research and development of novel treatment strategies

  • Develop specific recommendations for future research over the next 5-10 years to facilitate advances in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of preeclampsia
