Chief, Lung Biology and Disease Branch

The Role

The branch chief will be responsible for providing effective scientific leadership and strategic vision in designing, implementing, and managing a national research agenda. The branch chief will direct and manage a complex scientific portfolio of research and research training in lung vascular biology including pulmonary hypertension, lung development and regeneration, acute lung injury and critical care, pulmonary fibrosis and other interstitial lung diseases, rare lung diseases, lung transplantation, and lung host responses to HIV/AIDS and other infections. The ideal candidate will have research experience and knowledge of biology, immunology, or epidemiology that is relevant to the aforementioned diseases.
