Abstracts

The scientific organizers encourage attendees to submit an abstract to be considered for presentation during the poster session on Monday, August 4. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended until Monday, July 7.

Guidelines for Preparing and Formatting

  • Abstracts should be single-spaced and have a maximum of 300 words.
  • Create in Word or Word Perfect, using 12-point Times Roman or Arial font, with 1.5” margins.
  • The following information should be included at the top: Title, authors’ names and affiliations. The proposed poster presenter’s name should be in bold.
  • The focus of the abstracts should be on the analysis of genome-wide association studies and/or gene-environment interactions.  Provide clear data and validated conclusions. Abstracts should include an introduction that provides the background of the study, description of the methods used, summary of results, and a statement of conclusion.
  • Guidelines for Submission

    Please e-mail your abstract, no later than Monday, July 7, to Carol Sadler at sadlerca@nhlbi.nih.gov. In the subject line, put “GEI Abstract” and your last name. Notice of acceptance will be sent to authors by July 15.
