Abstract: The American Lung Association in Minnesota's COPD Educator Course provides healthcare professionals with a thorough overview of COPD information. The course will include practical information healthcare providers can use in their work with COPD patients. Specific attention will be given to smoking cessation, spirometry, COPD management, medication guidelines, psychosocial issues and oxygen therapy.
This course is designed for advanced practice nurses, respiratory therapists, internal medicine nurses, pulmonary nurses, pharmacists and care managers.
