Abstract: The two day COPD8USA Conference is a comprehensive, inter-professional medical education conference designed to improve the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with COPD. World-leading researchers in the field will talk about COPD research, challenges in treatment, best practices for proper diagnosis and management, and comorbidities.

The conference is designed for primary care physicians, pulmonologists, advanced and registered nurses, physician assistants and respiratory therapists, medical directors, care coordinators, and others who are involved and/or interested in the management of individuals with COPD.

Abstract: The U.S. COPD Coalition will hold its semi-annual business meeting on May 20 from 1-4pm at the Courtyard Downtown Philadelphia. The Coalition will discuss its strategic plan, changes to the COPD Caucus and planned activities for 2013. The business meeting will coincide with the 2013 American Thoracic Society International Conference in Philadelphia.
