Heart Disease Risk Factor Infographics
Risk factors are conditions or habits that make a person more likely to develop a disease. An astonishing 80 percent of women ages 40 to 60 have one or more risk factor for heart disease. These infographics explain key modifiable risk factors—smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, being overweight or obese, physical inactivity, and diabetes or prediabetes—and steps women can take to protect their heart health.
Fashion Week 2015
On February 12, 2015, The Heart Truth and the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women® movement— celebrated the Go Red For Women/The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection® Fashion Show at New York Fashion Week. The fashion show, which highlights the Red Dress as a national symbol for women and heart disease awareness, featured more than 20 celebrities who wore stunning Red Dresses from America's top designers to encourage women to learn their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce it. The fashion show was sponsored by Go Red for Women's ® founding sponsor, Macy's and it starred a live performance from the female group Fifth Harmony
Fashion Week 2014
The Heart Truth and the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women® movement—both known for the iconic red dress that symbolizes the fight against women's heart disease—teamed up on February 6, 2014, to showcase the Go Red For Women/The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection® fashion show at New York Fashion Week. The show, which featured more than 20 celebrities walking the runway in exclusive red dresses designed by America's most elite designers, brought inspirational stories of women who continue their battle against heart disease to life. The Red Dress Collection came to life through a partnership between the NHLBI and AHA and was presented by Macy's and SUBWAY® Restaurants, with support from Hearts On Fire diamonds.
Fashion Week 2013
On February 6, 2013, The Heart Truth celebrated its 2013 Red Dress Collection® Fashion Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, featuring 16 celebrities. Also featured was special guest Cindy Parsons, a heart disease survivor from northeast Connecticut, who walked on behalf of Follow the Fifty, a community initiative funded by The Heart Truth Community Action Program. Each wore a stunning red dress custom-made by a top fashion designer. Participants included Wendy Williams, Jillian Michaels, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Toni Braxton, and Savannah Guthrie to name a few. The Red Dress Collection 2013 was presented by Diet Coke with support from partner WebMD.
Fashion Week 2012
On February 8, 2012, 17 celebrated women took to the runway in red dresses created by some of America's top designers at New York's legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in honor of The Heart Truth's 10th anniversary. This year's Red Dress Collection Fashion Show included Christie Brinkley, Chaka Khan, Linda Evans, Rebecca Romijn, and Giselle Blondet to name a few. The Red Dress Collection 2012 was presented by Diet Coke and partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas.
Fashion Week 2011
On February 9, 2011, The Heart Truth unveiled its annual Red Dress Collection 2011 Fashion Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The Fashion Show featured 22 of the hottest celebrities—including Suzanne Somers, Giuliana Rancic, Linda Gray, Ann Curry, and Tararji P. Henson—and paired them with America's top designers. The Red Dress Collection 2011 was presented by Diet Coke. National sponsors include Swarovski, AOL, and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
First Ladies Red Dress Collection 2010-2011
From - September 2010 to September 2011, the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas, is showcased the fourth installment of the First Ladies Red Dress Collection. This unique display featured red gowns and suits worn by America's First Ladies, as well as designer red dresses to raise awareness of the #1 killer of women?heart disease. The year-long featured exhibit included the addition of red dresses from Pat Nixon, Eleanor Roosevelt, Lou Hoover, Bess Truman, and Jackie Kennedy, as well as a display of 12 designer red dresses from the Red Dress Collection Fashion Shows.
Fashion Week 2010
The Heart Truth returned to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on February 11, 2010, for the annual Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. The Fashion Show paired 17 of America's top designers with "women of heart" including Heidi Klum, Kristin Chenoweth, Felicity Huffman, Robin Roberts and Valerie Harper. The Red Dress Collection 2010 was presented by Diet Coke. National sponsors include Swarovski, Tylenol and St. Joseph Aspirin; and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
Red Dress Collection Fashion Show in Argentina
Dr. Cristina Rabadan-Diehl, from The Heart Truth program (fourth person from right), with Argentine celebrities during the launch of the program in partnership with the Favaloro Foundation from Argentina. The program in Argentina will be known as Cuidá tu corazón, The Heart Truth? (Take Care of Your Heart) was officially launched on September 9, 2009, with a Red Dress Collection fashion show during an annual fashion event called "Buenos Aires Alta Moda".

First Ladies Red Dress Collection 2008-2009
CANTON, OH, November 2008-May 2009, In its third national showing, The Heart Truth First Ladies Red Dress Collection was featured at the National First Ladies' Library as the centerpiece of the Library's "Caring Hearts: The Health of a Nation" exhibit.
Road Show 2009
The Heart Truth Road Show traveled to six U.S. cities in 2009 to provide free heart disease risk factor screenings and disseminate educational materials. Co-presented by Diet Coke and General Mills, the exhibit featured six designer red dresses worn by celebrities in the Red Dress Collection Fashion Shows. Cities included: Minnesota, MN, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Charlotte, NC, New York, NY, and Atlanta, GA.
Road Show 2008
In the spring of 2008, The Heart Truth Road Show had its largest tour to date, stopping at 10 cities across the United States, bringing free screenings, the Red Dress® display, and educational materials to women in their communities. The cities included: Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Birmingham, Charleston, Houston, Dallas, and West Palm Beach.

SIMI VALLEY, CA, February 16, 2007—As continued supporters of The Heart Truth, Mrs. Laura Bush—the Founding Ambassador for The Heart Truth program—Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Mrs. Barbara Bush, Mrs. Nancy Reagan, Mrs. Rosalynn Carter, Mrs. Betty Ford, and Mrs. Claudia (Lady Bird) Johnson each contributed red dresses and suits from their personal collections for a limited viewing at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

April-October, 2006—The Heart Truth Road Show, a traveling exhibit about women's heart health, visited shopping malls in four cities. The Road Show delivered an urgent heart health wake-up call to women in cities with populations at high risk for heart disease.
