New York Fashion Week Red Dress Collection℠ 2012

On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, The Heart Truth® marked a decade of commitment to women's heart health with its Red Dress Collection 2012 Fashion Show. The campaign's 10th anniversary show featured celebrities—from famous actresses, to former supermodels, to iconic musicians—in a parade of gowns designed by many of the country's most renowned designers.

In 2002, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute launched the symbol that sparked a movement—the Red Dress℠. Awareness of the Red Dress symbol has grown substantially since its launch, and it is making a difference. In a recent study, women who reported seeing or hearing about the Red Dress or The Heart Truth campaign were substantially more likely than other women to take at least one heart disease risk-reducing action as a result. The Heart Truth celebrated the Red Dress symbol in 2012 as it once again came to life on the runway, saluting the more than 70 top fashion houses and 170 celebrities who have inspired millions of women to take action to lower their risk for heart disease.

The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2012 Fashion Show was possible through the support of presenting sponsor Diet Coke with partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas.
