Known as the "Daddy of 'em All," the 117th Cheyenne Frontier Days was Country Conquers COPD's first stop in 2013. The nation's largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration drew more than 250,000 visitors over its ten days. In addition to the rodeo, fans of all things Western enjoyed cook-offs, parades, shopping and Frontier Nights entertainment from some of America's biggest country stars, including Toby Keith and Jason Aldean, who set new attendance records at the rodeo!
Despite unpredictable weather, more than 5,000 visitors stopped by the Country Conquers COPD tent to pick up important information about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and learn more about the signs and symptoms of this serious lung disease, also known as emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Close to 300 attendees also took advantage of free spirometry testing provided by the COPD Foundation. A special thanks to the Colorado Society for Respiratory Care and the COPD Foundation for helping us make this event a great success!
