Minority Institutional Research Training Program (T32)(Postdoctoral Individuals)

This program provides training to postdoctoral individuals enrolled at minority serving institutions having the potential to develop meritorious training programs in cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, and sleep disorders research. These individuals should be in the developmental stages of their career.

The minority serving institution collaborates with a research center (medical school or comparable institution) that has strong, well-established cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, or sleep disorders research and research training programs. The institution opens its facilities to the postdoctoral individual and provides a mentor to work with the individual's adviser at the minority serving institution.

At the time of appointment, individuals must have a doctoral or equivalent degree in a biomedical or behavioral science. A strong career interest in cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, or sleep disorders research must be evident. They must be U.S. citizens, noncitizen nationals, or legal permanent residents of the U.S.
