About the NHLBI SBIR/STTR Program 

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs are engines of innovation for developing and commercializing novel technologies and products to promote the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart, lung, blood, and sleep diseases and disorders. The NHLBI provides grant and contract funding opportunities to support small businesses performing research and development on technologies related to the mission of NHLBI.

Intellectual Property Assessment Tool for the USPTO: The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has unveiled an Intellectual Property Awareness Assessment Tool, a web-based tool designed to assess intellectual property (IP) knowledge and provide personalized training resources for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and inventors.
