| 1. This amendment clarifies "Intent to Submit" requirements of the subject RFP. | |
The subject ESCAPE RFP has generated a great deal of interest. While we are pleased at its reception in the research community, this has made it more difficult to arrange for peer reviewers who are free of conflict of interest limitations. Consequently, we urge potential offerors to consider sufficiently whether they can adequately address Technical Evaluation Criterion #1: Adequacy of documentation showing an ability to recruit a total of 500 patients. Note that this criterion is given 50 out of the 100 points of the total assessment of technical merit of the proposal. Only offerors that can fully address this criterion can expect to be competitive for this award.
With this criterion in mind, if you decide to submit a proposal, it is important that you FAX a letter of intent with the complete list of recruitment sites and investigators listed . If you have already submitted a letter of intent and decide NOT to submit a proposal please indicate that decision as well.
The name, address, and fax number for submitting updated notices of intent to submit a proposal are changed. Please FAX all letters of intent to Louise Corman, PhD, Scientific Review Administrator, 301-480-3541.
The hour and date specified for receipt of offers is NOT extended. Please acknowledge receipt of this amendment by sending an electronic mail to:
Failure of your acknowledgment to be received prior to the hour and date specified for receipt of proposals may result in rejection of your offer.
Sincerely,
/s/
